does anyone know if kids with downs syndrome can attend day care? my quad screen was high risk, but don't know for sure if my child will have DS and am trying to plan ahead just in case. thanks

of course they can go to daycare. what you want to do it call early intervention asap after birth and diagnosis so they can tell you some good places that may be familiar w/special needs. some places are better than others. google early intervention and your states name for the contacts and have those ready to go, you don't always get that info after diagnosis.

Your local school system should be able to provide special ed schooling for your child. Call the school department, depending on age he may be entitled to public ed.

thanks for the info. people have been saying scary things like i would have to quit my job which i can't afford to do, so it's a relief to know this is untrue.
