I had such a bad night last night, I just needed to tell someone & cry.

We came home from dinner & as we were pulling into the driveway, my husband ran over my cat :(
She than had seizures for [5 min. I ran to get my husbands gun so he could put her out of her misery, but by the time I got back she was dead already.

I know he did not mean to hit her, & I know he feels bad. It's just that she has been apart of our family. My little girl would get so excited any time the car came around her. One of my daughters first words was Lola "DohDa" for the cat.

I'm just real sad & I knew I could lean on you all.

Love you all.

That is awful! How sad for you to have to witness that, you poor thing! We lost our family kitty last March to Thyroid and heart disease, so I know how hard it is. We had to witness our poor kitty violently sick for a good 2 months before we finally put her down. She was on meds so the vomiting would come and go and we wanted to hold out on putting her down just in case the meds would work. She was only 13 (which is still a long life for a cat I guess) but my daughter knew her for her entire life! We still cry for her and think about her everyday. Her name was Lila, very close to your kitty's name. ;) How old was your cat? Again, I feel for you because unless you have animals and loose them, you will never understand how hard it is. :( Now we are paranoid for when our dog goes. I think we are done with adopting animals! :(
I hope your daughter is holding up OK. Hang in there, the pain will decrease soon. God bless your Lola in Heaven.

Julia,
Lola would have been 5 on 7/13. I adopted he when she was 6 months old, because she only had 1 eye. Her other eye had been poked out as a kitten & her owners didn't want her anymore. I felt so bad for her that I adopted her that day, & she had been the best kitty a person could ask for. She usually caught a mouse a day!

Thank you all

Well at least she had a few good years, who knows, if you didn't adopt her she may have been gone a long time ago. I hope your daughter is doing ok.

I am so very sorry. I know it is like losing part of your family. I have always had cats, my family did since I was about 3-4 years old, and I did as soon as I could after going away to college. I definately understand your pain.
