We're supposed to be getting hit with a big snow storm but so far, nothing.

Ah, yeah, it's really cold! It still hasn't snowed though. We have our fire going.

I don't like going out when it's really wet 'n' miserable though.

AAAhhhh! Fresh air does a body good!

We've usually had snow by now. It must be the global warming! *LOL*

I really wanted to take the kids out on the sledge though. The toddler hasn't seen a sledge before.

When it's like that, I get in the "I don't feel like doing anything, moods" that includes cooking dinner.

Ah, yeah, ya can never have too much fresh air!

It doesnt snow too much here but i would love a little for the kids to play in, Last night when my husband came home from work it was 9 degrees he said brrrr too cold for me, i set the heater on 71 or 72 at night and my friend said that was too cold for the kids she sets hers at 78 what do you guys think?

Mine hasn't either. I can't wait to get her into the snow, if we ever get any. That will be fun!!! Your toddler will probably love it and never want to come in the house.

Oh, I dunno - I only know degrees Celsius - what's that temp in degrees C?

Name: mellisa | Date: Jan 13th, 2007 10:06 PM
Ya they would love the snow, if it does snow it only snows mabey an inch if that so im not getting my hopes up.

Well, she probably wouldn't stay long at my house. I have my at 68 to keep the fuel cost down. Propane is pensive.

I have no idea what it is in celcius only in degrees.

Houses shouldn't be kept too warm - it encourages viruses to spread and makes people lethargic. It isn't healthy. I only put the heating on if it's very cold - I try to light the fire instead and put sweaters/cardigans on.

Atomic, you would have to ask that question! I don't really know. My brain is in a smog today.

Name: atomic snowflake | Date: Jan 13th, 2007 10:08 PM
Mellisa - keep the house on the cooler side. It's healthier!

68 thats cold, i set mine at night like i said at 71 or 72 and then it will reset itself to 65 and i wake up freezing i guess the guy who used to live here had it set up that way and its supposed to save money on the electricity bill, our last bell was only 75 dollars which is great.

Name: mellisa | Date: Jan 13th, 2007 10:09 PM
Why is that?

Name: atomic snowflake | Date: Jan 13th, 2007 10:09 PM
We tend to use Celsius in the UK! Oh dear........

Name: mellisa | Date: Jan 13th, 2007 10:10 PM
I always think if its too cold they will get sick but i guess the cold doesnt get you sick only if there is a virus in the air i heard that on the news but i still think the cold air will get you sick.

Name: atomic snowflake | Date: Jan 13th, 2007 10:11 PM
People aren't supposed to be overheated.

Name: atomic snowflake | Date: Jan 13th, 2007 10:12 PM
No, it's a fallacy that being cold will give you a cold! Viruses need warmth to multiply.
