Name: Faith [ Original Post ] Okay, Does anyone have a Father in law that is just down right crude? i do and my husband won't stand up for me. My husband in the last 2 yeras has just started getting to know his dad, his dad left and really abandond him and his sibilings 14 yerars ago. He wanted a relation ship with his father, i think it's great but I get really hurt when his dad is crude to me, in fornt of my husband. My husband doens't act like his dad in any way he's wonderful. but I am almost done with my pregnancy and he keeps calling and asking my husband ( IS SHE AS BIG AS A BARN! ) Okay I know I'm hormonal but I think it is wrong for him to say that, just because I've only meet the man 2 times. Any advice for me or what to say. Honestly part of me is half tempted to call him up and tell him off, but I don't want to hurt my husbands feelings. Thanks Faith ↓

Just let it go. he is the jerk and has no tact. your husband knows this. men have a hard time saying things to other men I bet that is even harder with his father.unless they are a hot head.Then they'll say something and you wouldn't want that. i have learned this over the years. Im sure he isnt impressed with this talk. If it gets to a point where you cant keep quiet just make sure you dont react harsh and fly off the handle then you will look bad. always remember the one to get in trouble is the reactor. Just be honest and say to the father that makes me feel bad when you say those things to me I would apreciate it if you didnt say that. Now if this eggs him on worse. leave and tell your husband I wont put up with this you'll have to visit your dad without me, You dont speak to me this way why should I take it from anyone else. i hope I helped ↑

At least he is someone you don't know very well. My mother used to call my husband and ask to speak to his fat wife. Yes, as mad as I got at her, I still forgave her. Just let it go. Maybe he is jeleous of the both of you or maybe he thinks he is being funny and doesn't know what to say. I would just laugh at him when you loose all that weight after the baby and show your skinny self off. ↑

ha, lol Denise, That was great thanks it made my night totally! Then funny thing is this pregnancy I've only gained 9 lbs and I think I look faboulus for a 5.11 But thank you I'm really laughing here it is great! LOL Your so right. I'm sorry about your mom really. I think some parents try and be supportive but dont' know how to tactfully go about it. At least you can forgive your mom. That gives you a 100% straight up you know your going to be a better mom than she is to you! Thanks again Faith ↑
