| Hi, I have two girls and am also a blended family. I came looking for help about my oldest (9yrs old) who has ADD. I stay home and my hubby is a fireman. My hubby works 2 jobs 24hrs with the fire department and 8-24hrs with a ambulance transport service ( obsessed with providing). Any who, I just am looking for natural ways to help my girls my oldest has ADD and my youngest (4yrs old) may have ADD also. I get so tired of the teacher and others giving so much negative about my babies who are both beautiful, smart, creative and just bundles of joy. Oh yeah, I was diagnosed with ADD when I was 15yrs old.( still have it ) My squeaker ( the oldest ) and I have the same sub-types with our ADD. ↑ |

| Hi K-beth!! My name is Michele, married wahm of two little boys in Pittsburgh, PA. My oldest, 8 years old has ADHD and ODD and my little one, 3 years old has just a speech delay. Both of mine get therapy for their respective "issues" and the eldest is on meds. I have been reading a lot about food additives, artificial colors and flavors ect and the effect on ADHD. Have you done any research on that?? ↑ |

| Hey ya'll I have done research on eating habits look into Feingold diet. It's not so much a diet as a better way to eat. Also look into the book "The hidden drug dietary phosphate" by Hertha Hafer. These aren't just for ADD and other probs it could benifet all of us. My oldest, squeaker is'nt on meds her situations not that bad. We only have conduct probs her academics are a year advanced. So I don't feel she needs meds if it started to affect her acadimics then I would reconsider. I also work with her on coping skills and am trying to get into a class that is for teahers on how to deal and work with ADD kids. Look into your local comunity for programs and other nonprofit orgnizations. You would be supprised I was. ↑ |
