You should never put a loose blanket in the crib with a baby, it can increase the risks of SIDS, dress your baby in a warm sleeper instead and keep room temp between 68-72. ↑ |

Newborns mustn't be allowed to get too hot! Don't cover him with blankets up to his shoulders - just up to his tummy area. Don't ever cover the head with a hat whilst sleeping. Put him to sleep on his back. Give him a pacifier - these have been proven to reduce the risk of SIDS. Buy a forehead thermometer and take his temperature too find out if he's feverish. Keep the room cool not warm and give some ventilation. As long as he's not in a draught it's good to open a window. Get your doctor to check him out. ↑ |
