So as some of you know, Jason and I are trying for baby number two right now.
I was wondering what brand of pregnancy tests you guys used or which ones you think are the most accurate.
The reason I ask is that I am about a week and a couple days away from my next expected period and I took a test today for the hell of it.
I needed to pee so I figured why not pee on a stick.

I have been experiencing some pregnancy symptoms but they could also be pms symptoms.
I've felt a teensy bit nauseated but nothing that would make me think to take a test(if I wasn't ttc) my boobs are so sore it's unreal and I leaked a little colostrum today. I've also been getting the "dumbs". I am not usually a scatterbrained person and lately I have been forgetting everything and mixing up my words.
I cried several times because I was frustrated that I couldn't remember simple things.
I guess that's another sign, random crying...

So I took the test(a first response one) and at first thought it came back negative and then after a couple of minutes, the faintest line appeared. I thought I was just seeing it because I wanted to see it but I handed it to Jason and he saw it too.

I'm trying not to get too excited here and am going to take another test later this week(because I'm eager) and if it's the same faintness then I'll take another on Sunday which is only 3 days before my next period.

What do you guys think?
I think the chances are pretty good, but like I said, I'm not going to get too excited until that line shows up darker.

well...in my opinion you don't need to buy those really expensive tests. the no name brands work just fine....except if you want to take one real early. like you did. then those first response ones are pretty accurate. if you take more tests closer to your period i wouldn't waste money on buying the expensive ones.

i found that the tests work easier with your first pee in the morning. the pee is more concentrated and you might get a darker line. but remember that even in the little pamphlet you get with the test it said that line can be quite faint, and it's still means its a positive result. any shade of that second line is a positive. nothing whatsoever is negative. when i was pregnant with Anika the line was so faint we could barely see it.

you could try one of those digital reading ones. there's no lines...it just says either "pregnant" or "not pregnant" pretty straight forward, rather than sitting there contemplating whether you see a line or not...lol....also after a certain amount of time you shouldn't read the results as a line could pop up after a while. like what happened to Irene here!!! ha ha...she nearly had a heart attack!! but you said it was only after a few minutes so that should be ok.

well....congrats in advance to you guys, if it WAS positive!! :-) that's exciting!!!
