My son is playing little league. We had to pay $150 to join, that includes $60 worth of raffle tickets to get some money back. However- then we become bombarded with things we need to sell and its usually something stupid like Gormet Coffee that costs $10 for a little bag! Then we just had to sell Aunt Annies Pretzels for $15!!!

What happened to the good old days when the kids worked for their donation by either doing the easy sell of candy bars or car washes?? Even have bakesales at the games. Does anyone else feel this way?

My 3 year old had to sell christmas wrap that was like $8 dollars for 2 rolls for her nursery school! Its crazy!

What do our school taxes go towards anyways?

i totally agree. My daughter is in kindergarten and she has had 6 fundraisers for her school. Then they expect the parents to buy all kinds of stuff or family members. i know my family is about over all the fundraisers as am i. i just keep thinking jeesh she is in Kindergarten what are they going to expect in the future

Ihave 4 children all close in age and they all come home with the same fundraisers. Not only are there too many, but how in the world can I sell the same fundraiser for 4 kids at the same time?!!!!So, needless to say I hardly ever participate and when I do the prizes end up being another problem cuz you can't just give the prize to only one kid.
