O.K. so I finally called the insurance guy today to see about putting my son on my cars insurance and to my delight was PLEASANTLY surprised!!!! :):) He told me that while Curtis is driving on his permit my insurance does NOT change!!!! But when he gets his license it will go to just $55!!!!! I was sooooooo happy!!!!! This $55 will include extra collision protection and extra liability and will require a $250 deductible to be paid first by me should we have a faulty accident but then the insurance would give me a check for the current value of my car so at least we would be able to replace it should an accident happen and total the car!!! I'm so happy about this as I was fearing the WORST!!!( I have a very bad habit of that!) Lol ↓

that's great news..i'm really glad....when i turnt 16 i had to pay my own insurance...and it was 260 every 3 months...it was stupid ↑

Dana I'm in Illinois. My car is a 92 and i have only been carrying rock bottom liability on it which was under $20 per month for just myself. I feel better now knowing I've got better coverage and the cost is no where near as bad as I thought it would be! ↑

That's great! Our's is 80 a month now, but my 2 oldest will get their liscences about 1 year apart so they will hit us hard i'm afraid, but we have 7 more years to find out! ↑

Lizzie, what great news...no longer have to worry about that :)
That is so cheap........here in BC Canada, insurance is so rediculasly high....un real really.......about 200.00 a month with a new driver on the insurance ↑
