I think I am going to have my 7 year old make something, as it means so much when they put thought and effort into it. As for me and the baby, we will probably ask soon for a wish list and choose from there!!

I am going to get him a picture frame for his office. The one with the double frames attached. One side will have my daughters picture and the other side will say this...

She's at his heels
Begging to go along.
Washing the car together
And singing a silly song.

Riding on his shoulders,
Laughing on his knees.
A pair where love is mutual
And very plain to see.

So like him in a thousand ways,
From her toes up to her curls,
Cry your eyes out Momma,
she's Daddy's Little Girl!

And I also have a 10 week old baby boy. So i will get the same pictures frame and do the same thing for him but on the other side it will read...

My Daddy's Hand
Daddy, take my hand in yours and you will plainly see,
How very much I need you know to love and care for me.
As my little hand grows, I will need you even more,
Everything I do in life, I have never done before.
Teach me to be Kind and loving, sharing and forgiving,
Show me through your acts of love the pure joy of living.
The years will pass by quickly, and one day I will be grown
I will pass what you have taught me on to children of my own
Hold me always in your thoughts and remember when we are apart
The special love between a child and a daddy's heart.

I also thought about getting him some clothes also. He is very hard on clothes. hehe

I've had really good luck with father/son coordinating or matching t-shirts in the past. My husband and two year old have shirts that say Big Dude and Little Dude. For Father's Day this year, I found someone on Ebay that prints Star Wars t-shirts for adults and kids, so I got them matching Darth Vader t-shirts. This type of gift isn't too costly and is a great alternative to expensive "big boy" toys (i.e. electronics, collectibles, etc).
