Okay... so i came home from school today.. I was REALLY hyper and in a REALLY good mood, right? It was the kind of day that you couldnt ask for anything more.

As soon as I walk in the door my dad is completely wasted and isnt making any fucking sense and is stumbling around being the crackhead he is.... then I finally get a chance to get away from him before i rip his head off, so i come up on the (excuse me... HIS) computer and try to put some new pictures on my myspace. it's 5:15 and i hear up the stairs "im hungry. when are you going to come make dinner" Then I say "I'll be right down.. I just have a couple more things to do"

Well, my pics gave me more troubel than i thought and he starts getting all pissy... slamming doors, stomping.... ACTING LIKE A FUCKING TWO-YEAR-OLD.... becasue he is a 50 year old man who is totally dependant on a 16 year Old to do EVERYTHING for him and I mean E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. And my mom wont divorce him until im 18 becasue she dosent want me to have to go around him and then have the whole thing over child support...

I know this is really long, but i needed to get it out before I end up doing something I regret.

Wow...that is tough.......I have never experienced that so I do not really have such advice.....
But My Dad can be such a child too......but in different ways...and it is really hard for the child to have to parent the parent

yeah winnmom.. thats exactly how it is.... he thinks he still lives at home.... my grandma had OCD and had total control over every aspect of the house and she forcefully INSISTED on doing everything..... and he never got away from it. and now even though he isnt at home... he still expects things to be that way. And I am always the one getting stuck with it b/c my mom is always working. this whole thing Sucks.

Oh blade I know all about OCD........My Hubby has that.......but instead of doing everything I try to take all the stress away from him.........
Yeah my Dad is a Big child.......for sure........He has talked about moving in with me and I had to set that straight really quick........
Blade you cook dinner ? That is really sweet of you....yes may be too much for a 16 year old is it is all the time...but very sweet that you do this stuff.

Blade, I'm sorry to hear all that you go through!! If there is anything I can do to help let me know!! Your entirely too young to be the "adult" in your home!! Take Care!!

Put a picture of your dad on a dartboard and put on your favorite tunes and go to town!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!!

On a more serious note though,I'm sorry you have to live like that. Can't your mom see it does more harm than good to wait til you're 18 to divorce?! You should ask if you can go live with your grandparents! If you're in charge of cooking the meals, you should start leaving out some key ingredients by (accident)! Lol

it sucks to have a parent messed up on alcohol or whatever it may be....i grew up with my mom being a single parent and she had a major drinking problem (still does) and it sucked very very much, its hard having to take care of a parent when your trying to just be a kid, what i did was just try to hang out with my friends as much as possible out of the house....and if that doesnt work get a lock on your bedroom door and sit in there where they can't bug you.....its tough but once you move out and everything you will look back at it and realize that that part of your life that sucked so much actually made you a stronger person....hope things get better for you
