My current job has been getting on my nerves for quite sometime. So a
wonderful position within another company has just come available and
unfortunatly I am 37 weeks pregnant. They have had my resume on file
for quite some time, but they finally call me in for an interview today. I'm sure most women start looking for new jobs after the baby is born, but I want to be sure I have a job lined up after I return to working.
I want this position, but I know that I am obviously pregnant and would
not be able to start until a few weeks after the baby is born.
So this company want to interview with me on Tuesday. I'm wondering if
I shuld call them back and tell them that we should reschedule the
interview for when I am back on my feet, or should I just go on the
itnerview and tell them a specific start date and see how it goes.
I really want to quit my current job and this position is ideal because
it is more flexible and it is closer to home.
I wonder how strange I will look walking into an inteview with this
huge belly of mine begging them to let me start in 6-9 weeks.
I can only pray that if this position is for me, then there will be a
position available for me. ↓

I would definitely go to the interview. When you go into the interview they will obviously see that you are pregnant but that you are serious about the job as well because who else at 37 weeks would be looking for another job unless they really wanted it. They can't discriminate against just because you are pregnant. Have you ever considered working from home? ↑

I guess if you get the job or not will depend on how fast they need someone. If you have the experience they are looking for then they just might be willing to wait for you,it's worth a shot to see! ↑
