| Have you tried sitting him down and telling him that you need help? My husband has bath duty with our 1 year old and feeds him dinner half the time. That gives me time to relax or do something around the house without chasing a toddler! He also is in charge of vacuuming the house a few times a week. No matter what, even when he tries, he doesn't clean the kitchen the way I want it done. He doesn't find value in picking up the house before bed if my son is just going to destroy it the next morning! One thing you may try- one day per weekend my husband goes out for 2-4 hours with our son. They leave the house and I get 4 hours of my time...sometimes I clean the house from top to bottom. Sometimes I read, sometimes I go shopping, sometimes I just nap. It means the world to me to have that free time to do what I feel I need to do or want to do. For heavens sake...I work 40 hours a week too and come home for my main job...Mom! ↑ |
