| i'm currently breastfeeding my son...he's now 11 months old...and i've been having my period every month regularly..last month before i had my period i spotted 4 days before. i've been feeling nauseous and dizzy for about 1 week. i was suppose to have my period yesterday.i have a 30 day cycle. i thought its really hard to get pregnant if your breastfeeding so haven't been using birth control, but now im wondering if i could be pregnant. however, i took a home preg.test today and it was neg. any one know if it's too early? ↑ |

first of all, relax. the obvious reason is if you have had sex without protection, then you may be pregnant, but there are other reasons why your period is late:
- are you stressing alot? stressing can cause you period to be late. relax, and don't worry about little things.
- i heard that if you put on weight your period can be late, or not come at all.
- the patch can effect your period too, don't worry, you will go back to normal soon.

Hi Victoria, I am in the same boat as you. Was suppose to start on the 15th sept like I always do.
I have not started yet, i've not had one period cramp......I also took a pregnancy test a week after my missed period and it came out negative, the next one i take will be at my docs. If that is still negative, i'll be asking alot of questions as to what and why my period is so late and what can be done to restore my normal flow.
Its scary and yes it really does stress you out, because its just not normal. I've just turned 24, no where near menopause yet, so its worrying, which is why this forum is here i guess, because women need to speak about it, when i mention it to my partner, his eyebrows raise and he just shakes his head with a semi smile (basically, I don't think he gets it) and then goes on like everything is normal, and I'm the one left with the burden of worrying whether I am preg or not. Thats men for you I guess.
Me and my partner are not really ready for a baby, its way too life changing, but I know we both would welcome a baby with love anyhow. Plus i'm going on holiday for Christmas, i just hope i'll be able to fly if it turns out that I am preg. As much as I would like to have kids, I actually really hope i'm not preg, but hey, thats life.
So to all of you lovely but worried ladies, make sure you go and see your doctor with a full list of questions. I try not to worry, but its hard, the more stressed out you are, the more your period won't come (i''ve heard). I'm hoping mine creeps up soon, so fingers crossed.

Hi Guys, its me again, last nite I was suffering from slight but sharp cramping like pains in my lower abdomen, these cramps come and go very fast. They only lasted about 3-5mins and that was it, never felt it again.
Not feeling it so much now, thought it was my period starting cos thats what it felt like......and stilll noooo sign of it!!!
I've been looking into implantation, could it be that? I took a test already and it was negative, i will take another one when september is over, cos i still have hope that my period will still come.
Any advice would be appreciated?
