| Have a daughter who is OCD for many years. CAme to head last year when stopped eating of fear of choking. Been going to CAMHS for a year but like to talk to people going throgh the same thing. ↑ |

| Help I am at my wits end my 7 year old has ODD and ADD and we just had one of the worse days in a long time just cause I told her she could not have any milk! She fought so much and hard that she got a Headache and fell asleep, and I have a headache and I don't know any more!! ↑ |

| Mary have you tried behavioral therapy? My son is soley ADHD with autistic tendencys and sensory processing disorder. Physical therapy and behavioral therapy did him a world of good, he still has bad days but the good days out weigh the bad now. That and the Daytrona help a lot! ↑ |

| I have a nine yr old adopted daughter who I suspect has ADHD along with some OCD behaviors, and severe anxiety. Her biological mother was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, and we suspeect that her Biological father was also ADHD. SHe has not been diagnosed yet but when I talk to family about putting her on meds the family makes me feel guilty, but they don't see all the issues that she is having and it is stsrting to effect her school work. She has trouble focusing long enough to finish classwork as well as homework and is starting to get in trouble for talking in class. Please moms I need your input on Meds, Homeopathic treatments and behavioral therapies. ↑ |

| My son was diagnosed with ODD just recently and in fact will be starting behavior therapy next Tuesday .With Jake they say he is depressed and want to put him on prosac, plus the fact 2 yrs ago he was diagnosed with diabetes. He fight us to do anything, the mornings he doesn't want to get up he just drags like an old man. It is very frustrating and it makes everyone's life a lot harder than it needs to be. My husband doesn't support me in anything and the only one who will help is my 21 yr old. He has had to restrain Jake at times because he tries to attack me . So tired of having to stay on top of diabetes and the behavior problems. ↑ |

| I have no one to talk to. Here's my story...i have3 kids from my marriage and my boyfriend has 3 from his marriage and we have a baby boy together. His 3 Come for the summer and his 3 year old kept doing things that concerned me, always mad, threw stuff, broke stuff, always fighting hittin and kicking, calls everything and everyone stupid. So his 3rd day with us all the other kids were standing there when he smacked the baby in the head. So he got in trouble and talkedto about not to hit the baby, so then we all had "baby duty" shifts, I would not let my baby be unattended for a second, so on day 6 my daughters 8 and 9 were on duty while he was napping and we stepped outside to do a chore. My daughters come running outside screaming crying with baby because the 3yr climbed on a chair and said "shut up whinny baby" as he punched my 7 month old baby in the face. When his mom was told about this she said she hadn't got around to telling us yet that the 3yr and 6yr old boys had both been diagnosed with Bipolar. I dont know who in their "right mind" sends their kids to a home with an infant and dont share that info. my innocent baby could have been hurt. So me and my kids left town and our home so him and his kids could finish their visit, cuz he didn't want to let 3yr old go home so the other kids could enjoy their time. So we as a couple are making plans for the future but I am very scared. I'm already dreading next summer. At what point is my baby's safety more important Than anyone feelings. Because we are expected to keep his kids 45-60days a summer and my baby was hit twice in the first week. ↑ |

This is for Wendy. There is evidence that multiple medications for children and teens doesn't help more than one medication. Also, any parent whose child has mental health difficulties needs to evaluate certain lifestyle issues with children to see where positive adjustments can be made.
