Never give up on your child, there is medication out there that can help. I think once she's on the right meds, you will see a completely difference in her.I think for right now you just need a break for a couple of days but in the meantime you should set up a Dr. appointment for her.

oh i know exactly what you are in the middle of, my son is only 6 y/o and he has been a challenge every day since he was big enough to walk. always running around and talking too much, and driving all of us crazy. allways getting into everything and getting in trouble , and he also has ts which is going to be very difficult to deal with. it gets worse as they get older, its so bad now we cant hardly go out to eat in a restarant cause he is yelling out things (not real good things) all the time. and we cannot control it . he is on risperadal and he is doing a little better. thanks for listening

One thing my parents did that really helped - they bought me a blow up punching bag. I went through a bunch of them, but it helped release the tension and so did the exercise.

Here it goes i have a daughter at the age of eight with adhd and she had been put a meds but she lose alot of weigth and now she is on just herbel meds and gain back the weigth she lose. but now her teachers are making comments about how much better she was on the meds. They didn't see the side effects and plus it is not good to keep on changing her meds. The teachers don't see that i guess. Feels like i am the bad guy but i am just looking out for my daughter. Your not a bad mom. I went through this since september. School would not give him the support he needed. He would flip out on writing assignments ect. I had him evaluated and thats when my nightmare truly began. Abilify, Seroquil, then risperdall. Enough was enough and I made my decisions as a parent. I weaned him off. It was difficult he was very violent. Nine months later he is doing so much better. Tantrums last ten minutes if that and not aggressive. We have difficulty maybe once every three weeks, opposed to ten times a day. Many adhd kids have low frustration tolerance. They lack the skills to process emotions properly. They need to be taught by modeling behavior.A good book to read is The explosive child. Also cognitive behavior therapy. Our children don't start the day wanting to fail. Never give up they need you.

I know what i am going to say is tough but it realy takes both parents to be invoived with my son he has went out side grabed a stick not a switch a stick and hit me i am a 27 yo mail my son is now 11. I had forworned him that if he hit me with the stick i was going to bust his bottom well needless to say that he did not lesen to me and when every thing was all said and done he rased up to fight me like a man and i had no choise but to take him to the ground hold him with ever thing i had in a bare hug, I told him i was not afraid of him and he has never tryed to hit me or his mouther ever again insted he wil now talk out his problems. my sugjestion is not to beat the poor babys but you still need to let them know who is boss my son now he will tell us both that he loves us and give us a hug and now he is off all his meds becouse he has learned self controle if the child is on meds i HIGHLEY sugest that you look up the side effects and go with you gut on wich one to elemenat, Some thing else that you can try is to cut all the fat from the food that they eat we did this and this is what gave him more controle do not i repeat do not give the gum it has Aspertain in it and it will show signs of adhd. God bless and my prers are with you.
