I'm tired too, and sore. We walked for about 3 hours yesterday touring these million dollar homes here. It was pretty neat, but the homes were so impractical! I don't see how anyone could live in them! And then Sophie woke up more than an hour earlier than usual...

it's funny you say that i told my hubby just a few weeks ago i wanted to go and pretend i was prequaled for a cuople mil. on a home loan just so i could look in the houses. they never really have open tours here

I'm here! Sarah's sleeping right now, so I have a break. I'm a little nervous about today -- DH went back to work and it's my first day alone with her!

hi connie

She's 6 days. I will be staying at home with her now, but I'm used to having help around!

Name: connie | Date: Apr 23rd, 2007 2:52 PM
well at least she will sleep the whole time so it should be so bad. If Xavier( my little man) is cranky I put him my baby bjorn and just carry him around.

Thanks m25, she's doing great! She's a good sleeper -- so good it almost causes probs with breastfeeding, because she won't wake up and eat. But we're getting better at it!

you'll be fine angel, i was scared w/ my first but after the first few days you'll feel like a pro

Hi Connie! Do you have new pics of Xavier anywhere?

M25 - Some of the things that made the homes so expensive was the materials they used for the flooring, the size of the homes (over 5000 sq. ft.), the outdoor features, the views and location, and then they all had top of the line appliances and other options. But they were designed more for an older couple to entertain - definitely not for a family with kids!

connie how do you like your bjorn, is it comfy? I have a reg. snugglie and i hate wearing it, it hurts my back so bad

yeah, the sleeping has been nice - but I'm falling into the mistake of not resting when she is...but I'm actually still holding up pretty well. I've learned she likes to be fussy about 5:30-6 am...but we can go back to sleep when she calms down!

Ang, I had to wake Xavier up in the beinging to feed since he was a premmie.

I added new pictures of Xavier on my baby journal, he is now 10lbs 6oz, he loves to eat( my poor boobs)
I love my baby bjorn( it is a bjorn) I put him in it allot, just so I can get stuff done around the house or even walk my dog, make sure you have it higher up I had my low at first and that is when it hurt my back

I was the same so I could rest when he was sleeping, I still dont rest when he is there is always something to do

I've had to wake Sarah as well...and I was really worried at first that we weren't feeding well...but she's doing great. I still just can't believe she's here, and she's ours! I worked in a daycare before i had her, so I'm so used to being able to cuddle and play with babies and then have to give them back...

Connie, your little man is adorable! I just looked at the pics in your journal!

I actually found it easier to rest with the baby once all of our help went home! I felt guilty sleeping knowing that other people were in my house and cooking and cleaning. Once they all left I got much better at taking care of myself! I've stayed home with Sophie now for almost a year. I can't believe it!

I understand that mara...my mom stayed until Friday and did absolutely everything. I felt horrible just sitting there watching her do my dishes and everything. She also completely cleaned my house from top to bottom the day we came home so Sarah had a clean house to come home to.

Oh Connie he's gorgeous! He doesn't even look like a preemie -he's filled out nicely and has such great coloring!

My mom came to help for a month, then my in-laws came for three weeks. We were so ready to have our house back to ouselves and to get used to being a family and have somewhat of a routine and schedule. This time my in-laws are coming for 2 weeks, then my mom is coming a month later for 2 weeks. We learned our lesson!
