Animals, are they equal to or superior to humans? What, if any rights should we give them? To what extreme should we go to acheive these goals? Basically tomarrow should we eat animals, or go to the polls with them? ↓

IMHO We are superior to all beasts great and small. I believe there should be humane treatment to all Gods creatures. I am not one for killing what I do not intend to eat. All domesticated animals should have the proper care and humane treatment they deserve. They did not turn them selfs in to pets we did. I think prison time is a must to prevent the wrong people from abusing pets. Pets are property so as far as I am concerned my pets better keep their butts at home on election time.LOL JK.

basically...what rights DO animals have?
They cant talk or speck up..basically they're a perfect target for abuse. I mean what are they gonna do...do tell the police??

I think animals need to be treated better...........period. Yes MANY owners are perfect, nice, ect. But MANY others are cruel. Some dont know it and some do.

| Greg S, with all do respect thats going a bit over the top. Animals have feeling.... just as we do, germs.... bacteria and so on do not have feelings. I don't understand how some can defend the practice of animal abuse! There is abuse on every level from pet owners to farm industry, as well as every where in between. It is right in front of every ones face! but yet.. we all pretend its ok by making excuses for why it happens. ook so now i know your 10calma...kinda suspected that you would change your name.
anyway...you could go that far with anything
for example: we have "cuss" words like Sh*t and so on....well hoo knows our next generation could say stupid is a cuss word......it's sorta like you saying that our next generation could be saying leave th plants alone! but there has to be a limit for everything.
people set there own limits...like when i was younger i thought stupid was a "bad" word now i just use it loosly.
You have set your limits to eat meat and not see animals abuse.
others...like lindalu have chosen to see the other side and take action to not eat meat.
i think the biggest issue is that people cant accept that they dont CONTROL EVERYTHING. at the end of the day I CHOOSE to eat meat or to not eat meat...or to support peta or to not support peta.

OK where to begin, Ahh why not why our country doesn't stop ALF, it is because like most terrorist groups they are beeing secretive on who is a member. Next, the other side of this disscussion is not no kill or "mistreat" animals in any way, Correct? That is simply not fesable, animal products fuel our entire race, therefore to stop using natures bounty in animals cannot realisticaly happen. Next, the definition of terrorist is "one who uses destruction of life and/or property to antimidate another." therefore, by definition ALF and ELF are terrorist organizations, I can see no way to argue with that.
Lastly, the vast majority of animals skinned are DEAD, only sick freaks skin animals alive, I am a hunter yet I can't skin animal alive because it is immoral to the animal and simply is hard for me to bring myself to do.
P.S. in the terrorists point of view 9/11 was a punishment. ↑ |
