| Hello Mary, I am new to this and I wanted to reach out to you and offer my friendship. I have a 3 year old son and we've been going through the ordeal of doctors and tests for a year already. I just got his final diagnosis yesterday and even though I should be used to it, I am a little numb by the whole idea of having a child with disability. Everybody wants their children to lead a good life without so many hindrances and here we are with our special angels, this is our reality now and we need to learn how to do our best to give a good quality of life for them and ourselves. I HAD TO CHANGE HIS CLASS MODULE FROM EMD TO TMD AND I AM NOT SURE IF I DID THE RIGHT THING. I KNOW HE HAS A CHALLENGE WITH THE EMD SETTING BUT TMD SEEMS TO BE BELOW IS LEVEL AND I DON'T WANT HIM TO REGRESS. I AM NOT SURE WHAT I NEED TO DO. HAVE ANYONE BEEN IN THIS SITUATION? ↑ |

Hello my name is JEan Runyon and I;m a college student. Part of this class i am in we have to post to a chat room on special needs. I understand what it's like to have a child or family member with special needs. It's hard at times and a joy at others. I applaude you for all the hard work you do.
The question I have is: do you feel that you get the help you need from your child's school or community services? Why or why not?
