Good morning Leah, hope you had a good weekend! I'm off one more day today since I put in 48 hours last week! It was tough because I'm so tired and sick, but it's nice to have another day to relax. Spent all weekend working on the house and made our son's room a "big boy" room. It wasn't bad before but we decorated it and let him pick things out, moved stuff around. It was so fun, my house is a bit of a mess still, but at least I have another day to clean. How are you feeling today? My sickness is already easing a bit. Still comes and goes, but haven't had to throw up in the last few days. I'm so excited, but nervous too, I was so sick with my son through the first trimester and into the second. I can't wait till I make it to the second trimester. You are so lucky, you have pretty much made it to that point, huh?!

Hi Chris i'm glad you have another day off and that you seem to be feeling better. I'm okay just the same back and feet pain i guess that wont' go away anytime soon huh? So what are your plans for today honey?

Cleaning! I still have to finish going through the last of my son's toys, how do they get so many? He has some that he's outgrown, so I hope to clear them out and put them away, it's a little sad, but it will be nice to get rid of the clutter. Right now we're at the table and he's playing with play doh. What are you up to today? Lots of appts.?

Yeah that's kinda sad to go through old toys and give them away and stuff. Today i have a few appts so that's good. How does your hair look these days hon?

I wish I could throw stuff away! I'm such a packrat, plus if we have another boy...what am I thinking, of course we'll be buying new toys again. I just can't let go. Haven't done too much to my hair. I do want to go back in and get it highlighted again, it's about time, but I think I'll wait a few more weeks till I make it to teh second trimester. I pretty much have pulled my hair back every day since I have been sick and it's just easier. I know, I'll get around to doing more soon. I'm just so tired and have been throwing up so much the past few weeks. Actually it's been better this weekend, maybe I really needed the rest.

Again i'm so sorry you've been so sick honey. Maybe once you feel better you can get your hair done again and it will make you feel better on the outside too.

That's what I'm thinking too. I just haven't had the energy to do it, and I have to pull it back anyway when I'm sick. I know it's lazy, maybe in a few more weeks...

A few more weeks huh? okay i'll mark off a few hours for ya. Is it getting long sweetie?

Name: Chris R | Date: May 1st, 2006 6:34 PM
That's so sweet! It is getting long, halfway down my back and it's getting dark. I'm so nervous to cut it above my shoulder though. Once my mom cut my hair and gave me a bob, I hated it, took me so long to grow it out. My husband has been bugging me to cot it short though, and it may be easier, but I still like to pull it back so I need to be able to do that. Do you have shorter hair? Is it easier?

Name: Leah | Date: May 1st, 2006 6:37 PM
Well my hair is just past my shoulders and it's in layers i like it a lot. Sometimes it's easy to deal with. I like it all right i guess.
I need to color mine again too, that's one thing about having hi-lites or coloring it, it needs to be done every 3-6 weeks at least that's about what i do.

Name: Chris R | Date: May 1st, 2006 7:05 PM
Yep, I have to go in to get mine done too. I tried to color it on my own before and that didn't go well. I love my layers too! I have thick hair that's really fine and heavy. It's so hard to do much with, curls won't stay, nothing. Also, since my son came along, half of my hair is curly, the back, it looks like I got a perm when it's wet but only kinks when dry, it also frizzes if I'm not careful. Strange huh? I usually straighen it, but haven't lately since I keep pulling it back.

Wow you have some intresting hair huh? I could have so much fun with it though. When was the last time you straightend it?
Have you ever had a spiral perm before?

Name: Chris R | Date: May 1st, 2006 7:48 PM
Yeah, I went through the spiral perm phase in grade school and jr. high, but not so into the perms now. If my hair would curl a little more especially in the front I could work with it. It's so frustrating now. I just use a straightening iron or hot rollers in the morning, just not lately. I do get compliments, but I think I need to do something different too, I will have even less time in the morning soon and I'm almost 30, I really need to change it.

Well honey it does sound like you do need a change. Any fresh ideas? You could cut it shorter and still have some body to it so you can still do some different things to it. I wish i lived there so i could do your hair

Name: Chris R | Date: May 1st, 2006 8:11 PM
I know, it would be so fun! We could compare bellies and stories about the kids...oh well. I have no ideas on my hair. I just don't have the patience anymore to deal with it. You may need to charge me for a consult soon though,I feel like I'm making ya work. I think I will definitely cut it shorter, just not sure how much. It's getting so heavy and flat right now.

Well it sounds to me like you need to thin it out and texturize it .
What kind of shampoo are you using sweetheart?

Name: Chris R | Date: May 1st, 2006 8:28 PM
Biolage. I love it because of the smell. I know that's a silly reason to pick one, but it's still a good one right?

Name: Leah | Date: May 1st, 2006 8:30 PM
oh yeah i use that one a lot on my clients. Your right it does smell so good too.

Name: Chris R | Date: May 1st, 2006 8:33 PM
I know that they use it at my salon too. I love it because it makes my hair soft and shiny, but mostly because it smells so good! How funny, but hey, I don't want to stink!

Name: Leah | Date: May 1st, 2006 8:34 PM
do you use a conditioner too?

Name: Chris R | Date: May 1st, 2006 8:45 PM
Of course! Couldn't live without it, never skip that step. My hair tangles so much if I don't. I also like it soft and shiny.

Name: Leah | Date: May 1st, 2006 8:47 PM
yes it's a vital step i tell all my clients that you have to condition your hair often.

Name: Leah | Date: May 1st, 2006 8:54 PM
So do you put your hair in hot rollers often?

Name: Chris R | Date: May 1st, 2006 8:59 PM
Yeah, I used to do it every morning, so I do need to trim my hair often, they are so hard on your hair, but it loks so good and is so easy.

Name: Leah | Date: May 1st, 2006 9:11 PM
I love putting my hair in hot rollers. Most of my clients like to get it done too

Name: Chris R | Date: May 1st, 2006 9:13 PM
Good, I thought I was taking the easy way out. I just throw my hair up and put on my makeup then pull them out. Doesn't take long, but I would still like something quicker and different. We'll see, I may break down and cut it here soon.

Name: Leah | Date: May 1st, 2006 9:15 PM
Yeah i think you should cut it honey. Think of it this way it will grow back.

Name: Chris R | Date: May 1st, 2006 9:23 PM
I know you're right. First you talk me into taking the pregnancy test earlier, now cutting my hair. Good thing you're here to nudge me, I'm such a procrastinor! Thanks Leah. I will make an appt. soon, but I think I'll still wait to color, don't they tell you to wait till after the first trimester? Anyway, I'll try to get in soon, maybe that will help me feel better.

Name: Leah | Date: May 1st, 2006 9:26 PM
I'm glad i can help you honey. Yes you should wait to get it colored again. Let me know when you make the appt.

Name: Chris R | Date: May 1st, 2006 9:28 PM
I will, my husband is pushing me too, but I know he wants it shorter. Anyway, I better run. Haven't cleaned much at all and my little guy will be up soon from his nap and my husband will be home in a few hours. So good to talk to you Leah, have a great day!
