Well I' m in the same boat with you, I am 13 weeks and had an ultrasound done when I was 9 and 10 weeks. Both of the u/s said the baby's heart rate was 162. I am hoping for a girl, I have 2 boys now and as I recall their heart rate being around 140. I will be happy and satisfied with whatever I have. My next appt is feb 23 and I am hoping that I can convince them to do another.

Flower, that's great, that's around where my son stayed, dipped to 130 a few times but stayed mostly at 160. If something wasn't right the Dr. would have told you. Some people try and look at the heart beat rate to determine the sex of the baby, it's kinda fun. Mine fell into the boy range as yours seems to also. Who knows if it's right, but it's fun.

TRINNI....... I am due Aug 19th, which really sucks I am dreading being pregnant the whole summer. I tried the gendor predictor that cost $17.00 twice, first it said girl than boy so now I guess I really on stuck status and even more confused as to what I am having. I get my u/s on March 24, which seems so far away. Back to the morning sickness ordeal, I myself had it as well in the first trimester. Last month around this time I had to go to the ER because I was dehydrated from vomiting and not keeping anything down. I never experienced anything like that in my previous pregnancies (2). I am 15 weeks today and feel alot better, except for being tired all the time. I have gotten my energy back but when the sun goes down my energy goes with it. Well wish me luck and I hope that you and baby are doing well.

Well the sonogram that I had at 20 weeks said that I was having a girl, and at my 23 week visit we checked her heart rate and it was 144bpm. I guess I'll see at my next sono if to see if she "sprouted" anything....lol

Sounds like another girl to me.... let us know.

Name: Tammy | Date: Feb 27th, 2006 10:31 PM
I went in for my first ultrasound at 9 weeks and the heart was beating at 180. I told my family and they immediately said I was having a girl. Well, I am 11 weeks now and I heard the heart beat again today. The doctor said it was beating at around 150 now. So it seems as though the heart rate goes down quite a bit during pregnancy. Am I right?
My husband and I would both like a boy, but honestly we would be happy with a girl too. This is our first so whatever we have will be a blessing to us.

One more question, does anyone know how much circumcision and ultrasounds cost? They are not covered under our insurance and I want to budget for them. Thanks.
PS. I am in Oregon if that helps.
