OMG!!How arrogant you are to repeat such an absurd statement! If my brother is a proffesional football player and I am not then wtf happened with our "breeding"? NO ANIMAL ON EARTH is BORN bad PERIOD!! People who judge so easily are also folks whom I wonder how they judge say the color of some peoples skin esc!!

i dont think that you should ever let your dog go... regardless of breed.. i personally have 4 pit bulls, and every damn one of them is a big baby, the are so awsome with my two little ones. i have found the best way to deal with uneducated people, is to EDUCATE them... take your dog around your neighborhood, introduce him to the people that live there, show people what a good dog he is... and go from there, i work with animal control, so i deal with "noneducated" people all the time, so if you need any more advice, please, dont hesitate to email me at [email protected]

get a crate for the puppy. no really you wont regret it. the puppy my cry for a while but just stick with it and he will be house broken in a shorter time. you have to wake up in the middle of the night also to let him out cuz they are not old enough to hold it all night sometimes do you wake up and go to the bathroom at night it is the same way with a puppy they have to go out in the night. hope that helps

I bred pits, and kept them as pets for 22 yrs. My last one attacked a 74 yr old woman less than 25 ft from me. He was the most laid back pit I ever owned. In 6 seconds he managed to open her up to the tune on246 stitches, and over 10,000 in hospital bills. If you aren't sure about the dog, don't own him!

its ridicuolus to say pitbulls are not family dogs they are on the contrary better then most acceptbale dogs such as retrievers or labs there tempermant test scores are eceptionally high in the high 80%s range scoring better then dogs like the labs retriever and most of the terrier line.. PItz r dog aggressive but people they were breed to do this its in there blood like a grayhound runs a pitbull fights its genetic but this doesnt meen you cant have pitbull because it will bite u. I have a 7monyh old red nose female and a small westy terrier the pitbull is gentle with the little dog but then again shes still young pitbulls and other dogs can happen if u supervise and take percautions. But dog aggression isnt human aggression itz been said in this forum before there completyl different thigns and shoudnt be thoughht of the same way. and as for the question dont give your pitbull away honestly if the parents of ur childrens friends wont let them play at ur house simply because of your dog they are very simple minded u can put the dog away or introduce the dogs on neutral territory pitbulls bark growl when ppl get close to the house but this deosnt meen theri aggressive jus like anyother dog there simply warnin the owners some1 or somting is around or near the house. i say neutrak territory so the parents woudnt assume the dogs aggresiive because its barking at them when they approach the house and i know evry1 that has a pitbull sees the difference when their pitbulls are guarding the house and when their outside walking

Yes, give him away to some yobbo with a hero complex (they are the sort of people who usually own these dogs)

Dont get another one, recommend to anyone that you know, not to ever get one, and hopefully these "killing machines" will be banned sometime soon.

I wouldnt let my child visit ANYONE who owned one!
I cant understant why people have to choose this breed when there are so many other BETTER breeds to choose from.
Every person I know who owns some sort of Bull Dog is a jerk

"Yes, give him away to some yobbo with a hero complex (they are the sort of people who usually own these dogs)"

that is so false my granny used to own one and at the moment my mother in law owns 2 they can be the sweetest dog but while I say that anydog can be the sweetest dog its not just the breed that makes them loving

Hun I am sorry that you are having so much trouble with your situation.

Have you tried kenneling your dog when the kiddo's friends are over? Getting rid of your dog would be IMO, like getting rid of one of my children.

I have a sign at my front door that says "Welcome all! My pets live here too, don't like it? Don't come in."

I would try behaviour training, crate training, and educate your friends and family first.

If your dog is not human agressive, then there is no reason to sign it's death warrent by taking it to the shelter.

That sounds like a great sign Kitana

Well we had it made since every one always complained about the either our old dobe putting his ball in their lap all the time, or getting animal hair on their clothes, lol.

Ya know, no matter how much you vaccum and clean, you can NEVER get all the hair, lol!

Can your kids go to their friends houses? If so, I see no reason to have to let go of your dog. Have you spoken to your kids to see what they think?

Hiddy... you are so incredibly ignorant and ridiculous that it gives me a headache.

Name: candy | Date: Oct 17th, 2006 8:06 PM
I have the same problem. My daughter has ben haveing her friends come over alot since school has started up and a few of her friends' parents are iffy on my dogs. I invited the parents inside to meet my dogs to show them that they are friendly and I told them all that if they would perfer that I keep my dogs crated while their kids are here I would out of respect. All the parents are fine with that and a few said they don't care either way. I would keep the dog, but thats just me. What I would do is talk to the parents, invite them over to your house to meet the dog and if they would feel better that he was crated while their kid(s) were over you will do that. but thats just my oppion

Name: Tiffany | Date: Oct 17th, 2006 8:06 PM
And Amber... You're going to have to choose one of the dogs and rehome the other or keep them seperated 100% of the time. Period.
